New York Times - Digital Account Set-up: General Instructions

Setting up Digital Access 

To set up your NYTimes.com account to access free articles, please follow the steps below:

• Step 1: Navigate to accessnyt.com
• Step 2: Search for and click the listing for San Jose City College - San Jose, CA
• Step 3: Follow the steps based on whether you are On or Off Campus  to create an account. 
• Please Note: If you have previously registered your email address on The New York Times site, you will click the "Already have an account?" "Log in here" link

Once you click on the "Go" button pictured above, click on the Create Account button to begin account set-up.  

4. Type in your sjcc.edu email address in the “Email Address” box and select Continue.

5. Create a password for your new account in the password box.          

6. Select your role at SJCC. For students include your graduation year and alternate email address. Then select Sign Up.

7. You will receive a confirmation of your NYT account along with the expiration date. Select “Get Started”.

8. Once on the NYTimes.com page, select the account icon in the right hand corner and login if you are not already logged in.
